Mindfulness, Self Care and Wellness

“Mindfulness is a quality that every human being already possesses, it’s not something you have to conjure up, you just have to learn how to access it.” – Mindful Magazine

Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.” — Anne Lamot

Mindfulness, at its essence, is the intentional act of focusing one’s awareness on the present moment. It is often used as a therapeutic technique to help relieve stress and anxiety, lower blood pressure, and reduce chronic pain. Research has shown that mindfulness helps us reduce anxiety and depression by becoming aware of one’s physical, mental and emotional state. Mindfulness also allows for more thoughtful responses to life’s challenges and will enhance any self-care practice.
